Gunsmithing Services Liability Waiver & Deposit Policy
By purchasing any gunsmithing, modification, inspection, customization, installation, or repair service (“Services”) from Safe House, you agree to the following:
1. Non-Refundable Deposit
A $50 fee is required to initiate gunsmithing services. This fee is a non-refundable deposit applied toward labor and intake evaluation.
Final service pricing may vary depending on the firearm’s condition, complexity of work, required parts, or additional labor discovered during inspection.
Any additional costs beyond the initial deposit will be communicated to and approved by the Customer before completion of the project.
2. Assumption of Risk
Firearms and firearm components are inherently dangerous. Any modification or service may alter factory specifications, safety features, reliability, performance, warranty coverage, or resale value. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with use, misuse, storage, or transfer of the firearm after service.
3. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Safe House, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, injuries, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from the serviced firearm, including malfunction, property damage, personal injury, or death.
4. Warranty & Legal Representation
You understand certain modifications may void manufacturer warranties. You affirm the firearm is legally owned, lawfully possessed, not stolen, compliant with applicable laws, and unloaded prior to transfer.
5. Indemnification & Limitation
You agree to indemnify Safe House against third-party claims arising from use or misuse of the firearm. Safe House’s maximum liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.
6. Agreement by Purchase
By purchasing gunsmithing services, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to be legally bound by this waiver. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
